When rotation is not enough

Rotation fixes orientation and composition, but it does not recover focus, resolution or missing edges. If a source is already cropped too tightly, rotate first and then decide whether padding or a new source image is needed.

Rotation is simple only when orientation is checked

Rotating an image is usually a small operation, but it can break a production file when the source contains orientation metadata, text, logos or a product that must face a specific direction. Use rotate to correct camera position, align scans or create a deliberate layout version. After export, check that width and height changed as expected, text is readable, the subject is not clipped and the output name still makes sense in the batch.
