FAQ

Are PDF documents uploaded to a server?

No. The PDF operation runs locally in your browser.

Can I use Images to PDF for this?

Images to PDF creates a PDF from pictures. PDF Tools works on existing PDF files.

Can I control page order?

For merge, order follows the file queue. For extract, page order follows the page range you enter.

Practical PDF checks

How to choose the right PDF operation

Use Merge when several PDFs must become one document, Split when every page of one PDF should become a separate file, and Extract when only selected pages are needed. Keeping these operations separate avoids ambiguous page numbers and makes the output easier to verify.

Choose the operation before uploading

Start by deciding whether the source is already a PDF or still a set of images. That single decision prevents most wrong exports: image conversion belongs in Images to PDF, while document order, page splitting and page extraction belong in PDF tools.

1
Use Merge for several complete PDFs.
2
Use Split when every page of one PDF must become a separate file.
3
Use Extract when only selected pages should remain.

A practical document handoff check

Before sending the result to a client, portal or colleague, open the downloaded file once and check the document shape, not only the file name. For PDF work, a successful export still needs a final human check for page order, page count and whether the receiving workflow expects one PDF or a ZIP.

What QuokkaPix deliberately does not claim

These tools do not edit PDF text, run OCR, compress arbitrary PDF internals or validate legal content. The value is a local browser workflow for simple structural operations, with no need to upload private documents to a conversion server.

Choose the PDF task before uploading

PDF work becomes predictable when the task is chosen before files enter the queue. Merge needs document order and clear filenames. Split needs one source PDF and an expected page count. Extract needs exact page ranges and a decision between one combined PDF or a ZIP of separate pages. Images to PDF starts from image files, so the checks are about order, orientation, page size and readability rather than preserving a source PDF.

1
Use merge for several PDFs, not for page ranges inside one file.
2
Use split or extract with one PDF at a time.
3
Keep original PDFs or source images outside the exported result.

PDF workflow cluster

Choose the PDF page that matches the source: existing documents use PDF tools, while image files use Images to PDF.
